I came across a strange issue while trying to save an image via Save for Web in Photoshop. Apparently, checking the ICC Profile in the left column of the Save for Web dialogue box creates a much darker image than intended. This strange bug only happens in Safari. Firefox, IE (of all browsers), and Opera on both mac and pc views fine.
This may not be a big deal when viewing some images. However, when you need a image to match the color of a background exactly, this could be sort of frustrating thing to happen. I don’t use this color profile for much on the web, but a few times I had it checked without thinking about it and suddenly noticed the source of the issue. I don’t have a solution, but if this ever happens to you, at least you would know the source of the problem.
